A Month?? Really, Brittany?

A month? Even I judge myself that it’s been so long since my last post. The whole point of this blog was to stick with it and I haven’t been doing very good with that, now have I? Instead of filling you guys in on what I’ve been doing, I’m just going to start with what’s going on now.

Starting with…

The awesome Christina is hosting an Ornament Swap this Holiday Season and I can not be more excited to participate  I sent my e-mail in this morning to Christina, and can’t wait to get matched up with another blogger/reader.

I also signed up for something else that I think is going to be a lot of fun. A foodie Pen Pal program that I’ve learned about through Heather. It sounds like an awesome thing to be a part of and I can’t wait to hopefully participate in the December boxes.

Friday Things #1

I have not died, I promise. I am here, and just have been super busy lately. It was as if my vacation kind of just brought on a crap ton of things to be done! But I’m here now, and going to follow in the footsteps of Chelsea and do a Friday Thing’s post to kind of fill you all in on what’s been going on with me. I know you’ve been dying to know!

1. Tyler Tour 2012 was a complete success; New Hope, PA , Stan Hope, NJ, Pittsburgh, PA, Akron, OH, and finally Bowling Green, OH. That’s a lot of shows! Is it bad that we already have a couple shows on the books for 2013 already? No? Good.

2. I’ve kind of been in a funk lately. Just feeling down, and I really am trying to snap out of it. I’m hoping to cheer up soon!

3. I saw Paranormal Activity last night. I would give it three out of four stars, but the ending..just wasn’t a huge fan.

4. Does anyone know about November being National Novel Writing Month? It’s also called NaNoWriMo, and I actually tried going through with it in 2010. That was also the year that I cooked Thanksgiving dinner all by myself for my family, and I spent a good couple weeks getting everything just right for the big day. Needless to say, NaNoWriMo was a failure, but I am back this year and hoping for success! For those of you who don’t know, the idea is to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November. I already have my story outlined and really excited to get started. I’ll keep you guys updated on my word count!

That’s all I have for you today, but that’s because it’s 10:45 PM, and I’m exhausted!

Road Tripping

I haven’t forgotten about this! I know my two whole viewers were super worried about that. The past two days have been super busy but all for good reasons! Today is Day 3 of Tyler Tour 2012. Last night in StanHope, PA has been the best so far but there are still three more to go! I will be sure to head back on Tuesday when I’m home to give a rundown of my trip!

Tyler Tour 2012

Tomorrow my two best friends and I will be starting our adventure for the next five days; Tyler Tour 2012.

When One Tree Hill started in 2003, I was just a Sophmore in high school, but I couldn’t have been more excited for this new t.v show. The W.B was already one of my favorite channels at the time, and Chad Michael Murray? I’m there. As the show progressed, I fell more and more in love with not only the story but the characters and actors behind them.

In 2008, I traveled from Philadelphia to North Carolina to attend James Lafferty”s Annual Basketball Game with my sister and two our our friends.

I never in a million years thought that I would be able to visit the fictional town of Tree Hill, let alone be able to meet the amazing people behind it, and that’s exactly what I was able to do this weekend.

Since that weekend, I’ve had the chance to meet Tyler Hilton and watch him perform three times. The last time, being in New York about a month ago on a boat.

It was an amazingly fun night, and starting tomorrow my friends I and begin an adventure that will take us to FIVE Tyler Hilton shows spanning from New Jersey to Ohio. I guess this makes us either crazed fan’s or groupies. Either way, I know it’s going to be a lot of fun and I can’t wait to share my adventures with you all!

Wish us luck!

Welcome!

Trying to figure out how to start off the first post in my new, shiny blog is much harder then I thought it would be. I guess I should start with who I am, and why I am here.

My name is Brittany and I am a twenty four year old from a suburb a throw stone away from Philadelphia. I work with animals, and even if waking up is hard some mornings it is something that I put a lot of my time, energy and heart in to.

While that covers the basics of me, now I move onto the why. Why am I bothering starting a blog, a blog that I am pretty sure will be seen by maybe one or two people? I am here because there are three things that I absoluetly love with out a doubt; Glee, cooking, writing and Steven R McQueen. Not necessarily in that order, but they are all there. In the last couple of years both cooking and writing have started to become a bigger part of my life.

While I took cooking classes in High School, that is where my official learning ends. Over the years I have learned oh so much from the internet, cook books, my family and most importantly other blogs. They are people who inspire me daily and I only hope I can learn from when it comes to this new part of my life; Meghann, Julie, Elise, Courtney and Gina.

Writing is still something I’m new to and hope that between this blog, and some other outlets I will get better at that each and every day.

Will this be an everyday thing? I’m not sure yet, however I hope that you all will join me in this fun ride through Life According to Britt.
